We've left Axel alone for the past three years, principally because he's a very busy boy. He usually spends a lot of time abroad, mosty in LA making adult films he loves Switzerland for skiing, and Dubai for fun. He's just back from a three month holiday with the family in a very exotic location which is why he is a lovely colour today. This is a rather sweet dad story for the holidays. We actually found Robert on a website advertising his services as a model in a variety of light bondage poses. We soon learned that he was a happily married family man and felt he was definitely worth meeting over a beer for further investigation! We' d seen Rob in his civvie clothes and adored the company CEO look. He reminded us of an antiques expert or many of the UK newsreaders we' ve seen over the years (Huw Edwards, Martyn Lewis?) and so we asked him to turn up in his work suit. What was odd however was how surprised he was that we were expecting a filmed solo. 'Is that what models have to do nowadays?' he asked. Somehow he hadn' t grasped from our conversations, or from viewing our website the kind of show we put on for our readers. We still thought that this shouldn' t be difficult for Robert judging from his portfolio but soon found a problem we occasionally have with some of our models especially the soldiers. They are often quite comfortable to be put in very extreme situations and be ordered to perform in a certain, even shocking way, but ask them to improvise, chat to the camera etc, and they go to pieces. Similarly Rob found that lying on a bed naked without constraints (rope) he was way out of his comfort zone finding it almost impossible to perform. We took some great photos of Mr Morrison (there is an interview to come if you're keen) and he kindly donated some photos from his modelling past to show the kind of photo set-up he' s been used to. At the very least this is a delightful story of a man who has kept a secret from his family: they have no idea that dad has been a nude model and a semi-professional wrestler for over 30 years! We do hope we can find a suitable challenge for this interesting man.

We met Delroy one warm sunny day on the South Coast after shooting some new lads for TFE. We were immediately enchanted by his backstory and so we plied him with brandy and coke (no ice) and let him regale us with tales from his childhood. He told us how he had grown up by the docks. His handsome Jamaican dad was charismatic and popular (read fanny magnet) who found it very easy to seduce women. Thus Delroy describes his father as a pimp and his Irish mother as one of his girls. There were others, in fact, Del admits the family home usually resembled a harem! Brothels crop up a lot in Del's past... Inevitably Mr Thompson's life became hedonistic and chaotic. He ran nightclubs and made lots of cash but the past decade has seen him heading down some much darker alleys and he's got the knife wounds to prove it! Having just been released from confinement he is now keen to put the focus on himself: his worked-out body and the pleasure he can offer people in various ways. Although Frank's feeling pretty sanguine about the recent bust-up, it's still tough seeing somebody having to forcibly shake off the last vestigies of care and love they've nurtured for someone for such a long time. From our point of view Frank has always been an astonishing blend of fearless soldier and gentle protective dad: a superhero with a very faithful heart for whoever he sets his sights on. Frank now sees his immediate family as the centre of his life but we're still keeping an eye on our good friend and this little catch-up took place on a recent boiling Bank Holiday weekend when one of his lady buddies allowed Frank into her own bedroom for a little solo she got quite an eyeful too! Her eau-de-nil bedroom decor and the turquoise tiling in the bathroom really complimented Frank's new tattoos: the expanding tribute to his young brother. And doesn't that clipped red rust stubble on Frank's chin look amazing too? This film is certainly a low-key affair but it's touching to see Frank more subdued and reflective than usual and not ashamed to admit he's appreciated the help and support of his friends during his recent crisis. He starts by telling us how his newly adopted bearded dragon gets drunk eating spiders followed by more wistful memories of life growing up on the beach back home.
